What’s next?

A year ago we were moving to the US. My dream came true and my husband was starting a new adventure.

A year later, where are we at?

Frankly everything is great. I will soon tell you about what happened to me this summer and made me very silent. But we love our American life so far.

Our apartment and life in Hoboken suit us perfectly. Hoboken is a small yet dynamic town. We reach New York easily and fast. There are a lot of great restaurants. And above all it’s quiet (we don’t hear NYPD and FDNY sirens every 10 minutes like in New York). We spent our entire summer on our terrasse and that was the best part!

When it comes to work, this country and this city are only made of opportunities. Everything seems more open and possible. For my husband it is an amazing chance to be here. For me too :)

In fact what we miss the most are our friends, and sometimes food. Even if we are no longer eating meat, my husband still dream of eating a “saucisson”, when I dream of a good dessert.

We also got our driver’s licences and were able to visit the area this summer: Jersey Shore, Philadelphia, some state parks, the Hamptons, Princeton, Nyack, Sleepy Hollow, Washington DC…

So do we want to come back to Europe?

Actually no :)
We love our new life here and feel like there are so much to fo and to discover here.

We feel awesome. This adventure is great and we have no regrets.

What’s next?

We are getting ready for our first American Halloween. The neighborhood is already all decorated. I will carve my first pumpkin this weekend (I will share photos hoping that the result will be decent) and then buy candies.

I will keep you posted :)
